PCFS Legacy

Celebrating the Legacy of the Penrith Community Filipino School (PCFS)

2008-2020

The Philippine Language and Cultural Association of Australia Inc. (PLCAA) would like to acknowledge and express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the PCFS throughout its many years of service to our community.

The PCFS provided a wonderful opportunity for children and families to learn the Filipino language, appreciate our culture, and strengthen their connection to their heritage. Behind this achievement were the dedication of our teachers, teacher aides, volunteers, and supporters who generously shared their time, knowledge, and passion.

Like many community programs, the Filipino School faced challenges during the COVID-19 period, and after many years of meaningful service, the program came to an end. Although the classroom doors have closed, the memories, friendships, cultural values, and lessons shared will remain an important part of PLCAA’s history and legacy.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all our students, families, teachers, sponsors, and  the PLCAA family who walked with us throughout this journey. Your commitment helped preserve and celebrate Filipino language and culture in our community.

Maraming salamat po for being part of the PLCAA - Penrith Community Filipino School story. Read our journey here.
