The Philippine Cultural Day was held on the 2nd of May 2009 at Coachman's Park St, Marys. It was presented by the Philippine Cultural Association of Australia (PLCAA) and was made possible through the funding of the Penrith City Council Magnetic Places Community Cultural Grants Program.
The objectives of the Philippine Cultural Day was to celebrate and share the rich Philippine heritage to the community.
The Philippine Cultural Day became a reality with about 1,000 people who came and witnessed the event through the combined efforts of members and friends of the PLCAA, with its partners:
Ilongo Dinagyang Connection Inc., Sydney Australian Filipino Seniors Inc. (SAFSI) and SBC Food Pty. Ltd.
