Message From Penrith’s Mayor Karen McKeown OAM

On behalf of Penrith City Council and the Penrith community I would like to acknowledge the 75th anniversary of Philippines-Australia Friendship Day. 

While this special day has its foundations in the formalising of diplomatic relations in 1946, here in Penrith we also choose to celebrate our partnership with the Philippines Language and Cultural Association of Australia. 

Council values the contribution the Association and our Filipino community make to Penrith – whether through being part of our multi-cultural working party, sharing your cultural heritage, or just in your daily lives as residents and business owners. 

We look forward to a continued relationship between the Philippines and Australia and between Council and our Filipino community.
