Spring Festival Memories - Saturday 07 September 2013
The PCFS staff , students with PLCAA members and friends had an awesome experience in the Spring Festival Parade. The warm, sunny day with a temperature of 28 degrees did not bother them as they waited patiently. The parade started on time. The children, dressed nicely and appropriately for their Baton Twirling performance, walked waving those Baton sticks in rhythm with the accompanying musical parade. They followed well the signals of their Baton leader.
Their attire was designed by Marie Bandayrel. On each side of the children, walked President Danny R and PCFS registrar Divina Ibarra, both wearing a barong.
The children proudly held high both the PCFS banner and the PLCAA banner. What a lovely sight. The sense of belonging was evident. The PCFS teachers ( Marie Bandayrel, Lety Cunanan and Estela De Juan ) were there to support the students in their experience of joining the parade.
Following the Baton performance was a parade of PLCAA members, PCFS teachers and parents: We were led by ever-beautiful Cora Barretto who worn a strikingly glamorous modern Filipiniana and holding a red umbrella. She was escorted by husband Boy Barretto wearing a Barong. Such a lovely couple making us proud.

The parents: Nida Alvarez, Remy, Gina Lomigo with Estela de Juan wearing colourful sequenced- Kimonas. Faye Laserna, Nida Hawley, Joan Villarante and Dra Alexis featured the heavily sequenced-terno of different colours.
Different Terno designs were elegantly modeled by Marie Bandayrel, Lande E, Aida Basto escorted by Lionel Laserna wearing a barong.
We all got a good treat of professional photography by Daryl of Kalatas. Parent Mr. Peter Boughton, father of Ashley Boughton, also amazed us with his thoughtfulness of making sure we do not have difficulties in the parade, making sure we were all at the right place, at the right time.
So all went well. Hooray to PLCAA and PCFS.
